On December 6, 2021 the team of Haryana police headed by D.S.P Geetika Jakhar , D.S.P Dr. Kavita, S.H.O. Aruna, S.H.O Mr. Jagjit Singh along with Inspector Maya Devi graced the campus of D.A.V PPS, Fatehabad. Director General of Police, Haryana flagged off a month – long cycle rally “Jagriti yatra”. The objective of this initiative is to promote “Women Safety” by making people aware, especially women and girls about their rights and educating about the roles of various agencies including police in protecting women.
The “Jagriti Yatra” will cover all the districts of Haryana.Inspector. Maya Devi and D.S.P Geetika Jakhar addressed the little students and parents. In the address, they focused to spread awareness about the cyber crimes, assaults and injustice prevailing in the society. They also shared the remedial measures which a common man can use to get the help.
At last the entire team of “ Jagriti Yatra” was honoured with the mementoes. The department of Haryana Police also showed a humble gesture by arranging refreshments for the students.
